365 Creative Announces Travel Project

365 Creative has partnered with Koffman Holdings to create a new and innovation travel advice portal. LoclX combines the functionality of existing travel review web sites with integration with social networks like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. The project, currently titled LoclX (short for Local Experts), is designed to tap into multiple social networks to pull advice from people who either live in a targeted area or are self-proclaimed experts about an area.

LoclX will randomly seek individuals who meet a criteria for geographic location and age, interests, hobbies or lifestyle. The new project taps heavily into social networking APIs to create a social graph that the system can then poll for advice. During a recent speaking engagement, LoclX co-founder Jonathan Reeves described the product as "a interface to approach people you don't know from a city where you may be going with having the ackwardness of randomly approaching that person. The product makes connections where connections don't exist. This is the beauty of the internet. Opportunities are limitless to expand horizons and connect with people who seemingly have nothing in common.".

365 Creative will use LAMP technologies to build LoclX, using a social networking platform developed by DotRage for social networks in Europe and Asia.
